Good Things Come to Those who Wait

Waiting on God can be an emotional roller coaster. One day we trust Him, the next day we are mad at Him because He is taking His time with giving us what we have asked for. In our moments of unbelief, we have forgotten that God’s timing is perfect and every moment of waiting is working for our good.

God never intended for us to suffer in our waiting. The goal is to gain strength and momentum so we can finish the race strong and victorious. I know that life gets hard and there are moments that you need God to intervene immediately. Even in haste, trust God and believe that every moment of waiting is building you and strengthening you for the road ahead.

Prayer: Teach me Lord to wait on you. Help me to understand that its not my character to be so impatient but my desperate plea for change. As I learn to wait on my most precious gift, I will praise you until it comes. Amen

Scripture: But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

  1. Great reflection that the wait is to strengthen not to punish. Encouraging and insightful devotion, thank you!
