Many of us have become foodies. We eat all types of delicious and exotic foods and can’t help but to tell others about it. To pull people into this foodie craze, we begin taking pictures of the food, sharing photos to social media, then bragging about how good the food tastes. The same it is with God. Once we get a taste of His grace, His goodness and His mercy, we can’t help but to share this sweet taste with somebody else.
The experiences we have with God would do us an injustice if we keep them to ourselves. To walk with a God who loves and forgives as He does should not be kept secret. Holding our tongue and refusing to tell of God’s goodness is like placing tape over your mouth and refusing to speak unless it’s about the frivolous things of this world. Testimonies and stories of triumph are what draw people to Christ. To have a taste of God is like tasting fresh, warm and buttery bread from the bakery; delicious and sweet. Take a moment to tell somebody about the goodness of Jesus. Tell the story so good that you leave a sweet aroma in the atmosphere that causes them to want a taste for more.
Prayer: My life is one of many trials, but if I can help bring someone to Christ by telling of His goodness then Lord I am available to you. Give me the wisdom to tell of your goodness and of nothing in which I think I have done. In Jesus name. Amen.
Scripture: O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
