Confession is good for the soul. The more we confess, the more we release. Oftentimes we confess to the wrong people. Yes, having a good talk and cry with your best friend is the most soothing release ever, however, some confessions need a powerful release and forgiveness from God.
When was the last time you sat in the presence of God and just poured your heart to Him? I’m not talking about a two- or three-minute talk, I’m talking about an emptying of your soul, telling God about the secret things that you are afraid to tell others about. A release so powerful that your only choice is to walk away free.
God is on standby waiting to hear your heart. He is waiting with arms open wide to receive your pain and to love you through your sin. Stop being afraid to give God your all-in prayer. He already knows the situation; He is such the Father that He is patiently waiting on you to confide in Him so He can give you a reason to trust Him. Give God your all today. Confidants and friends are a wonderful thing to have but the love and forgiveness of your Heavenly Father will heal, cleanse and redeem you in the most beautiful and purest way.
Prayer: Today, I am tearing down the walls of fear so I can trust you God completely. The deliverance I need is not in people but in you. Wash me, cleanse me and change me Oh God. For this pain and sin is too hard to bear. Amen
Scripture: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 (ESV)
